Academic Council

The Academic council of Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya (University) decides, designs and simulates the academic activities of the university. Headed by the Hon’ble Vice-chancellor of the university, the academic council looks after the proper management and conduction of academic programmes of the university and its colleges. Cultural Council

The Cultural Council of Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya (University) involves itself with the conduction of various extra-curricular activities across different colleges of the university.

 

It has organised debates, speech competitions, essay-writing competitions, drawing competitions, dance competitions, music competitions, etc. alongwith singing,and stage dramas & plays.

 

The special cultural programmes organised by Rajendra College, Chapra on the occassion of Rajendra Jayanti celebration on 3rd December is worth mentioning in this context. Dr. Shailendra Nath Shrivastava, head of the inter-university board was invited as the chief guest on this occassion. Besides debate competition, singing, and dancing participants also performed with musical instruments.

 

Likewise, the drawing competition held on 30th July 2003 in the Jagdam College,Chapra was also significant in which the students displayed their skills and the capabilities of a good artist. Singing, dancing and stage drama were organised by the same college on 26-12-2003 which was witnessed by students, teachers and other hon’ble guests. The programme was chaired by the former principal of the college Prof. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi. Nonetheless, many extra-curricular and cultural programmes were organised in Gopeshwar College, Hathuwa, D.A.V. College, Siwan, JaiPrakash Mahila College, Chapra and other Colleges.
